Curiosity. Understanding. Change.

How I Work

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. My work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and psychological understanding, while remaining tailored to your individual needs, goals, and circumstances.

Below you can find information about my approach to therapy, the process of getting started, and practical details about appointments, availability, and client groups.

My Approach

When people come to therapy, they are often asking some version of the same question:

“What is wrong with me?”

I am usually more interested in a different one:

“What happened to you?”

This is why I place a strong emphasis on understanding the bigger picture before attempting change . Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses, we work together to develop a shared understanding of how difficulties came to be, what keeps them going, and how they affect your day-to-day life, relationships, health, and sense of self.

I do not believe lasting change comes from self-blame, criticism, or trying harder to be someone different. In my experience, change is more likely to happen when we begin to see ourselves with greater clarity and compassion.

Therapy is not always comfortable, and it is not simply a space where your thoughts are reflected back to you. At times, it may involve questioning long-held assumptions, exploring difficult experiences, or considering perspectives that may feel unfamiliar at first. While I aim to offer warmth, compassion, and genuine care, I also believe that meaningful progress sometimes requires challenge.

My role is not to tell you who you are or what you should do. It is to help you recognise what may be keeping you stuck and support you in making choices that feel more aligned with your values and what matters most to you.

I do not keep people in therapy for longer than is useful. We review the work regularly so that therapy remains focused and purposeful. The goal is for you to develop the skills, insight, and confidence to move forward without me when the time is right.
